A couple whose houseboat was devastated in a fire are channelling the Blitz spirit to keep them going.
Stephen Lincoln, 49 and his wife Tracy, 47, had lived on the boat Saffron, moored at Burnham quay for six years when it burnt on February 12 along with all their possessions.
The couple are living in a bedsit in Mayland and working towards moving back onto their boat in the next few weeks.
Mr Lincoln said: "It was a shock when it happened but we've accepted it now and we're going onwards and upwards.
"It can't be worse than what happened during the war."
