GRAFFITI was spotted by residents and shoppers in Maldon over the weekend which spelt the town's name wrong.
A "Welcome to Malden" message was spray painted in white on the roof of the Iceland building in the high street at some point over the weekend.
Many commuters, shoppers and residents spotted the message, which proved extremely amusing for many and speculation as to who could have reached the roof.
It is not known who wrote the message, nor if their spelling mistake was deliberate.
Iceland and Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
