(Maypole Road, Great Totham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Maypole Road, Great Totham, in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Prince of Wales Road, to its junction with Captains Wood Road.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 26 March 2012 for 1 day, weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce while BT replace pole and cable.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The alternative route will be via Prince of Wales Road, B1022 Broad Street Green Road, B1022 Colchester Road, Heybridge Street, Holloway Road, Maypole Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26 March 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1-4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Effect of the order: To formalise the 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction on the following lengths of road in the District of Maldon:

Back Road, Tollesbury
From its junction with North Road, to its junction with Colchester Road and Chapel Road.
Colchester Road, Tollesbury
From its junction with Station Road, to its junction with Back Road.
North Road, Tollesbury
From its junction with High Street and West Street, to its junction with Back Road.
Chapel Road, Tolleshunt Knights/Tolleshunt D'Arcy
From its junction with North Street, to its junction with Colchester Road and Back Road.
Blind Lane, Tolleshunt Knights/Tolleshunt D'Arcy
For its entire length.

The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Tollesbury, Tolleshunt D'Arcy and Tolleshunt Knights) (Weight Restriction) Order 2001 is hereby revoked.

Further details: A copy of the draft Order, the Order to be revoked, maps illustrating the proposal and a Statement of Reasons may be examined at all reasonable hours at Environment, Sustainability & Highways, County Hall, Chelmsford; Maldon District Council, Council Offices Princes Road, Maldon and at Tiptree Library, Rectory Road, Tiptree.
