A 38-year-old man suffered from smoke inhalation after his car caught fire in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters administered oxygen therapy to him and used two hose reels to tackle the blaze in Mundon Road, Maldon, at 12.28am today.
Police were called as the car was in a precarious position blocking the road.
The fire was dealt with by 1.16am and the casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.
