A student has landed his dream job on a luxury superyacht in the French Riviera.
Professional deckhand and bowman Archie Willis, 19, of East Street, Tollesbury, will spend the next nine months cruising the Mediterranean as part of his Yachting Cadetship apprenticeship.
The three-year course, in conjunction with the Falmouth Marine School and the University of Plymouth, includes a foundation degree in Operational Yacht Science.
Archie began his training in October at youth charity UKSA’s Isle of Wight campus.
He said: “The yacht is currently based in Saint Tropez and is competitively raced throughout the season in various regattas across the Med including the prestigious Voiles de Saint Tropez.
