Although the committee has sent off an application to the Lottery for funding, members are still doing all they can to raise funds. On June 9, the Summertime Swing Night was a great success. Singer Annie Taylor gave an excellent performance of varied songs and requests. Tables were beautifully arranged by Sarah Drew who provided the refreshments, including homemade bread rolls, and she really achieved the bistro look she wanted in the hall. Over £200 was raised for funds, and the committee thanks everyone concerned, especially Sarah. In the autumn there are plans for further fundraising events such as a quiz, a 60's night and a craft fair.
