Jo and Steve Griffiths would like to thank everybody who attended the Open Gardens on Sunday July 22. It was a great day.
The grass maze went down very well, as did the goat and fish feeding.
Max Newcombe won the treasure hunt and Chelsea Knight won the Nursery Rhyme challenge.
There was a lot of cake eaten, tea drunk, and books and plants sold.
The total money raised was £334, which will go to Essex Air Ambulance and Asheldham Youth Church.
FLOWER SHOW - DENGIE VILLAGE HALL
Lyn Moul would like to thank all the people who helped to make the Dengie Village Hall stand at the Flower Show, which was such a happy and successful event.
Joan Cooper won the Treasure Hunt and Karen Randall won the bottle of port.
PARISH BARBECUE
This annual event, in aid of funds for St Nicholas Church, Tillingham and St James' Church, Dengie, will be held on August 18 at 6pm, in the garden of Vicarage Lane, by kind invitation of Zanny and Roger Lawrence.
Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children, £13 for a family, and are available from Zanny on 779273, Ann Reed on 779540 and Michael Tuckett on 779683.
