D'arcy Horticultural Society is considering the possibility of organising an Open Gardens weekend in the summer of 2008.
Before they start making specific plans, society members need to find at least 12 garden owners in the village willing to participate. The size of the garden is unimportant, as they hope to have a variety of small, medium and large for the visitors to look round.
All the proceeds from the event will be donated to charity.
Anyone wishing to support this idea by opening their garden next year or simply want to know more about it before committing themselves, please call Jeff or Sue Andrews on 01621 868705.
MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
D'arcy Village Hall is playing host to the annual Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday September 29 from 10am to 1pm.
In addition to the eponymous drink there will be a mouth watering range of homemade cakes and biscuits, a table-top sale and a raffle.
Anyone wishing to reserve a table top, donate a prize for the raffle, bake a cake or to volunteer to help on the morning is asked to call Dawn Pitt on 01621 860426.
