A NURSERY in Southminster has opened a new room, dedicated to providing term-time education for pre-school children.
The newly built Owl’s House at Hillside Playcare Centre in Hall Road which opened its doors earlier this month, is designed for all three and four-year-olds to get school-ready.
The centre provides a fun environment for children as well as healthy food and free swimming lessons.
Manager Sammy Hopkins said: “We are delighted to be opening the new room at our nursery.
“We feel it complements our existing facilities wonderfully.
“The feedback from parents visiting Owl’s House has been overwhelmingly positive and the children are all happy and thriving in their new environment.
“We would like to extend our thanks to the landowner, John Fisher, for opening the new building, just as his father did before him.
“We hope that the expansion of the nursery will be of great benefit to the community for generations to come. The new room is the perfect choice for parents wishing to use their entitlement to government funded childcare, with a team of qualified staff on hand from 7am to 7pm.”
Hillside Playcare was first launched back in 1982 and since then has grown in size and popularity.
