Maldon's Fiver Fest has been hailed a huge success for the High Street after a challenging year.
Over the last two weeks, over 25 High Street businesses have put on special £5 offers for customers.
Organiser Allison Gray said the festival brought the 'buzz' back to the high street.
Allison and Michael Bloomfield, who run Around Maldon put on the festival to support the high street after a difficult year during the coronavirus pandemic.
Allison, who owns Willand Fox said: “Fiver fest has been a huge success and I would like to take the opportunity to thank the public for spending their £5 (and more) with High St independent businesses.
"It’s been lovely to see regulars and of course new faces who will hopefully continue to support us in the future.
"It's been a tough time for small businesses and it was so reassuring to see local people supporting local businesses and businesses working together to support each other.
"In challenging times Fiver fest brought a buzz back to the high street & it was so nice to get a taste of normality back. Watch this space for the lucky raffle winner to be announced later this week."
