The next phase of a new development bringing 1,000 new homes to Maldon is set to begin.
Handley Gardens, off Limebrook Way, is part of a new neighbourhood known overall as Limebrook Park.
Once complete, it will bring approximately 1,000 homes to Maldon as well as a local centre with potential for shops, restaurants and a pub, a primary school.
It will also include two early years and childcare facilities, and a large area set aside for business and commercial use and green space with sports pitches and play areas.
The first phase was launched by Taylor Wimpey in January 2019.
The latest phase brings a further 406 new homes.
Linda Dines, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey East London, said: "Handley Gardens is part of an exciting project to create a whole new community on the southern side of Maldon, with everything that residents need in easy reach.
"We know that people who live in Maldon tend to stay here because they love the area so much, and it’s been great to meet so many local buyers since we launched.
"Our second phase gives even more people the chance to own their first home in Maldon, move back to the area to be closer to friends and family, or find out what Maldon has to offer for the first time."
