A famous tea rooms has moved into a bigger space after a successful lockdown.
Mrs Salisbury's Tea Rooms on Brights Path off Maldon High Street have packed up and moved next door to a bigger space.
A few years ago the popular restaurant gained planning permission to convert Church House on Brights Path into a restaurant, and now after such a successful lockdown, they have taken the plunge and moved.
Manager, Charlie Goss said: "It's been on the cards for a good while, but with everything going on we now need more space.
"The smaller tearoom was lovely but just not big enough anymore.
The new space boasts five dining rooms and lots more outdoor space.
Charlie said: "The comments have been overwhelming and the support over the last few months has been amazing.
Mrs Salisburys launched a mobile food truck in The Promenade at the start of summer which will remain until next year.
"We were quite fortunate, the summer was quite busy. We launched a nationwide afternoon tea which was really successful
"We also started a mobile food truck in the Prom in the summer which was our saving grace.
Now the much-loved tea room is preparing for the busy Christmas season with their festive ski gondolas.
Charlie added: "We have the ski gondolas back again and a lot more outdoor space with heaters to suit everyone."
