MALDON businesses have joined forces to open pop-up shops in Promenade Park.
Maldon Books are opening their pop-up shop – the Book Hut – this Saturday alongside Silo, which was the town’s first-zero waste, refill shop.
Maldon’s Jake Tyler, author of A Walk From the Wild Edge, will be cutting the ribbon at 10am and signing copies of his book afterwards.
And James Henry, author of the Essex-based DI Nicholas Lowry series will be signing copies of his latest novel Whitethroat at 2pm.
The opening will also be celebrated with some giveaway treats.
The Book Hut will be open every day of the week hosting regular author events, signings and story-time sessions all summer up to the end of September.
Bookworms can find titles for adults and children as well as a selection of reduced titles.
The main bookshop on the High Street will be closed this Sunday for the organisers to rest after the grand opening.
Find both pop-ups from Saturday onwards by the Rossi’s hut on the grass.
