THE historic Beeleigh Abbey in Maldon opened its gardens to the public again in 2021.
Today, August 13, is the first open day this month, with only five more left to visit the historic site.
Beeleigh Abbey boasts three acres of riverside gardens.
New for this year is the tea cabin and courtyard area, surrounded by Mediterranean style planting.
In August summer bedding displays are at their peak, and September sees roses on display and harvest time in the kitchen garden and orchard.
The gardens are open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, with last admission at 3.30 pm.
There is no need to book and admission is £6 for adults, £2.50 for children aged 5 to 16, and kids under 5 go free.
Visitors will be able to buy plants, other produce, and various printed stationery.
Free parking is available.
The gardens first opened to the public again in May, and the next open days are August 20 and 27, and September 10 and 17.
