ITS been confirmed Maldon MP John Whittingdale is no longer in his role as media minister.
John Whittingdale was appointed Minister of State for Media and Data on February 14, 2020.
He confirmed this morning he is no longer in post as media minister, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson's reshuffle continues.
He was not on the front bench in the Commons during Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport questions.
In a statement on social media, Mr Whittingdale said: "I am sorry to be stepping down as Minister for Media and Data and saying goodbye to a great team of ministers and officials.
"It has been a privilege to play a part in shaping the future of UK public service broadcasting and in reforming our data laws using our new Brexit freedom."
It was announced yesterday Witham MP Priti Patel will remain a prominent member of the cabinet as Home Secretary.
