Mayland Parish Council has been nominated for a Tesco Community Grant towards a new embankment slide.
The parish council unveiled plans at the beginning of the year for a new embankment slide to be fitted in its Lawling Park older children's playground.
Its now been revealed the parish council has been nominated for a community grant from Tesco.
The project with the highest number of votes across the region will receive £1,500, or the amount requested up to this value.
Second place will recieve £1,000, and third place will get £500.
Residents are being asked to cast their votes in any local Tesco shops.
Voting will start instore from October 1 and continue to the end of the year, on December 31.
The Tescos taking part in voting on the project include Burnham Express (CM0 8HQ), Danbury Express (CM3 4QW), and Maldon Extra (CM9 4LE).
To vote residents need to make a purchase instore of any value.
Then they will receive a token per transaction and a local project can be selected.
