A BEER festival is back for its ninth event...and will be raising money for children with disabilities.
The Maldon and Dengie branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has announced its popular festival is back after a year’s absence due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Its ninth festival is being held at the South Woodham Ferrers Village Hall, in Hullbridge Road.
A spokesman for CAMRA said: "With both the Chelmsford summer festival and the Rochford autumn festival cancelled it's great that our event is going ahead.
"There is nothing else like it locally happening."
The festival kicks off next Thursday, October 7 at 4pm until 11pm, and will open from noon until 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
Guests can enjoy 35 beers from brewers in the area, and a selection from further afield, as well as a range of food available.
Entrance is free to CAMRA and village hall members, and only £1 otherwise.
CAMRA's supported charity will be Brainwave which helps children with disabilities reach their potential.

The beer list will be posted on maldonanddengiecamra.org.uk from October 1.
