A NEW restaurant in Maldon has been handed a three-star food hygiene rating.
Chutney House opened in the High Street in early September.
It boasts a 4.3 star rating on Google reviews.
The new restaurant was given a three-out-of-five food hygiene rating after assessment on September 10, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Another Maldon restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Clayhill Vineyard at Lower Burnham Road in Latchingdon was given the maximum score after assessment on October 1.
Of Maldon’s 103 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 84 per cent have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
