THE Maldon town mayor officially opened a new high street restaurant yesterday.
Chutney House opened at 116 High Street in Maldon last month.
Its rooms include the front parlour, the drawing room, the asylum, the great eating room, and the garden.
And it boasts a "a magnificent ambience" with "18th and 20th century grandeur style".

Mayor David Ogg cut the ribbon outside this new addition to the high street yesterday (October 27) with his wife Sharon to officially open the eaterie.
Chutney House owners Istiaque Ahmed Razib and wife Nazma Begum joined Mr and Mrs Ogg at the grand opening.
