A THOUGHTFUL donation is aiming to help pupils stay safe on their walk to school.
Pupils at Cold Norton Primary School received a donation of reflective kit bags from David Wilson Homes to help them be easily seen on the roads as the afternoons get darker.
The housebuilder gave the school 35 hi-vis kit bags for pupils during Walk to School Month, which took place in October.
Lois Ashforth, headteacher at Cold Norton Primary School, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to David Wilson Homes for its hi-vis kit bag donation.
“We were thrilled to accept the bags and our pupils will be using them in the future.”

Cold Norton Primary School is located near the homebuilder’s Riverside Grange development in The Avenue and the donation is part of David Wilson Homes’ outreach to the community.
Annette Hurst, sales director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We want to ensure the pupils in the local communities remain visible now the darker nights are here and our donation has hopefully still encouraged them to safely practice Walk to School Month.
“This is a campaign we actively support each year and we’re thrilled to help the children at Cold Norton Primary School in their efforts to commute on foot, and the kit bags have proven to be both effective and practical.”
