A REMEMBRANCE Sunday service has been cancelled due to an increase of Covid-19 cases in schoolchildren.
The Royal British Legion Tollesbury Branch service in the Congregational Church on Sunday, November 14 has been cancelled.
A Tollesbury Parish Council spokesman said: "Due to the increase of Covid-19 cases in children of school age it has been decided that the service in the Congregational Church should be cancelled."
Instead the service will be held at the War Memorial St Mary's Church from 10.30am.
The parade will be led by the Colchester Pipes and Drums Band and will leave the RBL clubhouse at 10.15am.
The route for the parade will be New Road, East Street and Church Street arriving at St Mary's at around 10.25am.
After this at 11.10am the parade will march to the Memorial to lay a single wreath.
Then the parade will march back to the clubhouse through Elysian Gardens, High Street, Station Road and New Road.
