A VEGAN charity event is set to raise funds for an animal charity which helps treat vulnerable street dogs in India.
A puppy and dog training instructor who has been vegan for more than 40 years is hosting the special charity evening.
The instructor for Notley Puppy and Dog Training School is set to host a Vegan Curry Buffet at Zara Indian Restaurant in Woodham Mortimer on Sunday, November 28.
The event will help raise much-needed funds for Animal Aid Unlimited India – a charity which helps treat sick and injured street dogs.
Gary wrote and published a Vegan Indian e-cookbook, Wotnomeat Goes Indian, during lockdown.
The buffet will feature recipes from the book along with some of the Vegan favourites from the Zara menu.
Gary said: “It is a great way to showcase how delicious and diverse a vegan diet can be and at the same time raise money for an awesome charity.”
The event starts at 4pm and the cost of the buffet will be £25 a head with £5 going to the charity. Under 10s will pay £10.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Gary Notley via email at notleypts@yahoo.co.uk or on 07547 197833.
The e-book is also available through Amazon with proceeds also going to the charity.
