DRIVERS in Maldon town centre have been facing delays after part of a major road was closed. Here's everything we know.
Market Hill was closed yesterday, November 29, for works being carried out by Essex and Suffolk Water.
According to Essex and Suffolk Water, the closure is taking place as it is "upgrading our network to improve the service for customers in the area".
The works are scheduled to end on Thursday, December 2.
A spokesman for Essex Highways said: “The works on Market Hill in Maldon are being carried out by Essex and Suffolk Water to reinstate a leaking service.
“The permit for these works ends on Thursday December 2. For information on the works, please see: one.network/?GB124612326.”
Silver Street was also closed yesterday for similar works being carried out by Essex and Suffolk Water, and is set to re-open on Thursday.
>>> Village road closed for 40 days (and four other roadworks in Tiptree)
