A COMMUNITY choir was busy at the weekend after completing a marathon of festive performances.
The Big Sing choir travelled across mid Essex performing six different sets for shoppers on Saturday.
Allison Gray, owner of Willow & Fox in Maldon High Street, invited The Big Sing to bring some festive cheer to her Christmas shoppers.
She said: "They certainly did just that. Wonderful, talented singers with amazing voices, creating a Christmas ambience for all to enjoy.
"Thank you so much and to All Saints Church for assisting with Power."
Back by popular demand, the choir also sang for Morrisons customers in Maldon.
Kathy Vale, community champion at Morrisons, said: "It was amazing to see and hear them all again. It bought some Christmas cheer. The customers and staff at Morrisons loved it."
They then moved on to entertain the crowds in Witham where the Big Sing was founded 10 years ago.

They first performed at Morrisons, followed by Holts of Witham and then they performed another set by the Christmas tree before the lights switch-on.
Their final performance entertained those attending the Glow event at RHS Hyde Hall.
Gemma Francis, director of The Big Sing, said: "Wow, what a fantastic day of community singing. After being restricted to sing to the public for such a long time it was great to get back out with the community and lift their spirits with some festive songs.
"Our choirs have missed this so much. The Big Sing would like to wish everyone a safe and joyful Christmas."

Sandra Cole, charity manager for The Big Sing Soul, said: "Thank you to the public for their generous donations which will enable us to bring some Christmas joy to residents in Care Homes with a specially created video of our performances for free."
Gemma is urging more people to join the choir in 2022.
It is a community choir so anyone can join, no audition is necessary and the first rehearsal is free.
