CLASSIC military vehicles are heading to Maldon’s Promenade Park.
The Essex Historic Military Vehicle Association is putting on its ‘winter gathering’ this Sunday after two years out due to Covid-19.
The event has been held since the 1980s.
Formed by enthusiasts, the group has more than 100 members and aims to preserve military history, vehicles and artefacts.
The event has attracted more than 1,000 enthusiasts in recent years.
Some of the vehicles at previous winter gatherings have appeared in films, TV series and documentaries, including The Monuments Men, Fury and Danger UXB.

Chairman Colin Tebb said: “It’s great to be back with our first event of what we hope to be a busy year.
“This free event is a fantastic way to see some great military vehicles and meet our volunteers.
“I want to thank Maldon District Council for allowing us once again to use the park.”
The winter gathering will take place from 10am to 3pm.
