A COUNCIL has revealed there have allegedly been "several repeated incidents" of vandalism and damage in Promenade Park.
In total, 14 lights in the park have been damaged "beyond repair".
As a result of the damage, Maldon District Council says the replacement lights and repairs needed amounts to more than £5,000 in cost.

A spokesman for the council said: "This is putting unnecessary pressure on our staff and means the park will now have fewer lights available to aid visitors walking along the paths in the park."
