TWO new homes as part of a four plot scheme have been given the go-ahead by Maldon District Council.
Lord Rayner of International Company Investments Ltd submitted a proposal to build two detached, three-bedroom chalet bungalows with associated access.
The proposed homes would be on plots one and two of an approved four plot scheme on land between Buller Road and Rectory Road in North Fambridge.
In a statement, the applicant's agent A R Property Designs said: "The proposed development would comply with the objectives of national and local policy related to protection of the countryside and to ensuring the unimpeded provision of sustainable housing where no other factors outweigh and override the need to do so.

"No interests of acknowledged importance would be harmed by it.
"The indicators are, therefore, that a grant of planning permission, subject to relevant conditions as reasonable and necessary, would be appropriate."
This application is a re-submission after a previous refusal.
The prior bid was refused due to its proposed garage and therefore this was removed from the recent application.
The proposed homes are largely in line with those previously approved for the four-plot site and identical in terms of siting, height and appearance.
The main changes relate to the removal of a small side projection and the outside chimney breast.
Inside, the homes provide a third bedroom within the roof space.
The recent application was granted planning permission by Maldon District Council on Monday.
