The redevelopment of the pet shop will be modernised in an effort to protect and enhance the employment opportunities in the area as well as feed positively into the economy.
In a statement prepared on behalf of the applicant, a Strutt and Parker spokesman said: "The proposals will serve to support the sustainable expansion of rural business in Bicknacre through a sympathetic and high quality redevelopment of the site."
Existing access will be closed off through a new section of linear hedgerow and new pedestrian access will be provided from Main Road into the site serving the new entrance to the office building.
There will also be 26 parking spaces, 10 cycle parking spaces and three electric vehicle charging points.
The plans are set to go ahead after Chelmsford City Council gave its approval.
