A PETTING zoo is donating its takings for a day in a fundraising event for animals in Ukraine.
Maldon Promenade Petting Zoo has a fun-filled day planned tomorrow (March 15) from 10am to 6pm as part of the fundraiser.
The zoo is donating its takings for the day which is set to include special stalls, face painting and competitions, as well as 50 per cent off day offers and of course its famous animals.
It will also be hosting its monthly free senior citizen day and animal therapy day.

A councillor will be on hand volunteering her time to help with any visitors' worries around life issues but also the Russia-Ukraine war.
A spokesman for the zoo said while there's not much notice, it is staying open until 6pm so the bosses hope people can pop in after school.
No booking is required.
Anyone who wants to donate is asked to do so on the day or buy tickets to the zoo.
On its Facebook, the spokesmand added: "We are currently carefully looking into the quickest and cheapest way of getting the funds to the right people."
