A FURTHER update has been issued after garden waste collections in the Maldon district were suspended last week.
Garden waste collections were suspended on Thursday (March 17) for the rest of the week amid driver sickness including multiple positive Covid-19 cases.
Maldon District Council has announced today (March 22) it will suspend the collections again for the rest of this week due to sickness of drivers for its contractor, Suez UK.
A spokesman for the council said: "We appreciate how frustrating this will be to hear for users of the garden waste collection service and please ask you to bear with us while this is resolved.

"Our contractor Suez UK are working quickly to resume normal service so please bear with us."
The collection of garden waste is not part of the standard refuse or recycling collections, so these changes will affect residents who have signed up for this subscription service.
