Carey Brown, a member of the group, said she was excited to announce the most recent nomination and added: "Will it be another win for Maldon Drama Group? Hope so!"
The award ceremony is on Sunday, April 10.
Just days before the event, the group is set to stage a production of the classic Treasure Island.
Carey said: "This is a real fun comedy romp, not sticking terribly close to the original but with bad jokes and slapstick aplenty it promises a good laugh and a thoroughly enjoyable night out."
The production will run from April 7 to 9, starting at 7.45pm.
