A SECONDARY school in Maldon has hosted its first large scale event in two years, with more than 50 exhibitors.
Plume Academy welcomed the providers from a variety of industries, education, and training sectors to the school last week for the first in-person careers fair since the start of the Covid pandemic.
Throughout the evening hundreds of students, parents and carers from years 7 to 13 flocked to the Fambridge Road academy.
The event created an opportunity for the youngsters and their families to engage with the exhibitors and talk about future employment, education and training routes.
Plume says the atmosphere at the fair was "exceptional" with guests being grateful of the opportunity after such a long hiatus.

This was reflected in feedback which found that 99 per cent of attendees described the event as "very good" or "excellent".
Beth Meltzer, careers lead for the academy, said: "Throughout the evening, exhibitors could not praise Plume students enough, explaining that they had gone above and beyond in assisting exhibitors with their set up, welcoming them to the academy and supporting them throughout the evening.
"They were a credit to the academy."
