A SHOP in Maldon High Street was reportedly burgled this morning.
Police responded to reports of a burglary taking place at a shop in the high street after 10.15am this morning (March 30).
Essex Police say officers were on the scene within minutes.
Thankfully, there are no reports of any injuries.
Police say they've received a number of calls regarding the incident.
Residents took to social media to say they'd spotted a police helicopter in the area.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "This is an ongoing incident, and we will provide an update as soon as we practically can."
Police have now confirmed the shop where the robbery occurred was Mitchell's Jewellers.
