THE police office in the Maldon district is re-opening to the public this week.
Officers in Maldon are based in Maldon District Council's offices in Princes Road since the former town centre police station closed in 2017.
The re-opening comes after the office was closed to the public due to it being used as part of the town's vaccination centre.
A spokesman for Essex Police in Maldon said: "We are delighted that our police office at Maldon District Council will re-open to the public.
"We had to close it during the pandemic because the office was used as part of the town’s Covid vaccination centre.

"Our local policing team remained based at the council premises in Princes Road throughout, continuing to help people, keep you safe and catch criminals."
The police office reopens from today (April 19).
It will be open to the public from 9am to 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, with a one-hour break between noon and 1pm.
The spokesman added: "Of course, our front counter staff are looking forward to seeing you again but, remember, you can also report crime and anti-social behaviour, or give us information about criminality, online."
Visit www.essex.police.uk to use the online reporting system, or provide information directly to one of the Live Chat operators between 7am and 11pm.
Alternatively, call police on 101. If it’s a crime in progress, always ring 999.
