A POPULAR pub is set to host a town's first ever LGBTQ+ Pride event this year.
The Victoria Inn will be hosting Burnham-on-Crouch’s first ever Pride Event on Saturday, July 16.
Publicans Raymond and Lorna Hart have secured one of the main DJs for Essex Pride, Prucey B, to help host it all.

Guests will enjoy entertainment from drag acts Ruby Violet and Chamonix Aspen as well as "Disney guy" Matthew Haslam-Hammond.
Ground Coffee house will take over the kitchen to provide food on the day alongside Dandelions gourmet vegan food truck.
There will also be a free glitter bar for pub-goers to get glamorous.
Landlady Lorna Hart said: “We could not believe there has never been a Pride event in this area so we are excited to be hosting one.

“Pride is for everyone it’s about celebrating our differences and embracing the diversity amongst us.
“We hope other businesses in the area will get involved and that Burnham Pride becomes an annual fixture.”
The adults-only event starts at 4pm.
