A PLANT sale is set to return after two years to raise money for people in war-torn Ukraine.
Maldon Rotary Club’s plant sale takes place annually in the town’s High Street, selling a wide selection of plants.
It started off as Rotary Club members growing their own plants and selling on the surplus they produced and has developed into a bigger charity event as more plants were grown.
All funds are split between the Rotary Club and various charities which are decided on a yearly basis.

The event returns to Maldon High Street on Saturday (May 14) after a two year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year’s sale will be focusing on the Ukraine Appeal, with money raised to help people in the war-torn country as well as refugees.
There will be a selection of Rotary Club members’ grown plants and bedding plants alongside a bucket collection for the Ukrainian people.
A spokesman for the club said: “Please drop by, outside All Saints Church, and maybe bring some plants for us to sell.”
The sale will be open from 9am to 1pm.
