Drink and drug drivers appear in Essex's lower courts every week.
The offences attract a compulsory driving ban and usually results in a hefty fine.
The drink driving limit for breath is 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath while for blood it is 80 milligrammes of blood per 100 millilitres of blood.
These are some of the drink and drug drivers to appear at magistrates' court in Chelmsford this month.
Mark Figg, 40, of Tollesbury Road, Maldon, was found to have 228 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood when he was stopped in Tiptree on January 17.
The legal limit is 50 microgrammes per litre of blood.
Figg admitted the offence when he appeared at court on May 2.
He was handed a 12 month driving ban and fined £120.
Figg was also ordered to pay a £34 victim services charge and £105 prosecution costs.
David Mackness, 56, of Fambridge Road, Maldon, was found to have 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped in Burnham Road, South Woodham Ferrers, on April 14.
Mackness admitted the offence when he appeared at court on May 10.
He was handed a 12 month driving ban and must pay a £780 fine.
Mackness was also told to pay a £78 victim services fund and £105 costs.
Jack Alexander Moule, 31, of Maldon Road, Burnham, was found to have seven microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) per litre of blood when he was stopped in Cornwall in August last year.
The legal limit is two.
He admitted the offence and was handed a 36 month driving ban and £120 fine.
Magisrates also ordered him to pay a £34 victim services charge and £105 prosecution costs.
