The choir will be rehearsing on Thursday at 4.30pm in the church for about half an hour. Please feel free to come along to any rehearsal if you would like to join them.
A Ministry of Divine Healing service will be held at 7.30pm in the church tonight.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School meets on the first and third Sunday of the month during term time, at 9.30am in the village hall. We are meeting this Sunday - bring a parent or guardian with you and just turn up, or phone Nonnie (741771), Coral (740975) or Alan (742601) to find out more.
Jesus called the children to him and said: "Let the little ones come to me; do not try to stop them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
We agree with him - all children are welcome at Christ Church Sunday School. (All Sunday school staff are CRB-checked.) Don't miss out on the fun!
LILIES OF REMEMBRANCE FOR EASTER
It has long been our custom to decorate the church at Easter with lilies donated by individuals or families in memory of a loved one.
The names of those remembered are recorded on a list which is kept on the altar from Easter Day until the following Sunday.
Lilies cost £2.50 (approximately).
If you would like to donate one or more lilies in this way (money to be paid before the lilies are purchased), please call Nonnie on 741771 or Delia on 740865.
HALF-TERM FUN
Don't forget to come along to the fun session this Wednesday, February 13, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
It costs £1.50 for children aged three to ten, 50p for young people aged ten to 16 and adults go free!
Freckles will be there, face-painting, there is the opportunity to get your nails done, buy some Easter goodies or just have a nice cuppa with a piece of home-made cake while the kids have fun, fun, fun!
Also, there is a raffle to try and win a giant chocolate Easter Egg!
The fun will be in the Village Hall, Burnham Road, Latchingdon.
Hope to see you there!
FAREWELL
After 25 years of cycling around the village laden with all our post, Jackie Spencer is hanging up those bicycle clips and retiring on March 1. So next time you see her pass, give her a smile and wish her all the best!
Good luck in your retirement and don't get bored with all that spare time!
