A FLOWER show has been hailed a blooming success following its return after three years.
Tillingham Flower Show brought people together to watch and join in the parade and weekend of entertainment.
Music on the Green kicked off the event with a children’s superheroes fancy dress parade and live music from Black Rabbit.
The main event on Saturday saw crowds fill South Street for the parade.
A team from Tillingham Fire Station led the procession through the village, followed by floats, vintage cars and tractors, dancers, fancy dress and more.
After the parade, residents crowded on to the West Field where about 70 stalls were set up.
Show chairman Clint Tuckey said: “After three years absence it was fantastic to welcome back the Tillingham Flower Show to our village at the weekend.
“Over on the West Field the marquees were full of handicrafts and horticultural exhibits.
“Visitors enjoyed a wide variety of stalls which included crafts, demonstrations, community awareness, games, food and inflatables.
“A Pimm’s and Prosecco tent and a horsebox bar were new additions, and these proved very popular to the vast number of visitors.
“Although we were blessed with the weather, unfortunately it was too hot for the pony rides, the dog show and the dog scurry, and these events had to be cancelled with the safety of the animals being our priority.
“A big thank you to the numerous volunteers and sponsors - without their help there would be no show.
“We hope that everyone who attended the Tillingham Flower Show had a great time - roll on 2023."
Many volunteers helped to put together the show and the committee has expressed its gratitude for their help over the weekend.
A representative said: “We are extremely grateful for all the volunteers over the four days, Thursday to Sunday, without whom we would not be able to put on the show.”
