CONCERT
If you fancy an evening of country-flavoured gospel music turn up at Little Totham Evangelical Church on Saturday March 1, from 7pm.
This is the launch night of a new group ñ Dove Outreach Ministry ñ that includes church members Monica and Fred.
MOTHERING SUNDAY
This month's family service at All Saints is particularly special because it coincides with the day we thank God for mothers.
The 11am service on March 2 gives everyone, of whatever age, the opportunity to remember the love and care they received.
There will be posies for the youngsters to present to their mothers and older people are invited to bring photographs to fill the church with memories of their childhood and their mothers.
WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
The international Women's World Day of Prayer will be celebrated at All Saints on Friday March 7. Other church communities in the area are being invited to join in a day centred on the Christian church in Guyana.
Coffee will be served from 11am, followed by readings and meditation and a chance to find out something about the country and its people.
Lunch, with a South American flavour, will be served at 1pm followed by a service put together by the women of Guyana.
To book, contact Lorna Key on 891667.
ALL SAINTS BUS
This month we welcome a new helper to the band of volunteers who make the All Saints door-to-door shopping bus service possible.
Many thanks to Sue Dwyer, who has joined the team, just as Marjorie Lamb has had to give up her much-valued standby role because of knee problems.
The Thursday service is available to anyone from the village, thanks to the rota of volunteer drivers, accompanied by a helper, who pick up passengers between 9.30am and 10am.
If you are a regular passenger who is unable to travel, please notify Gill Wiseman on 891700. If you are a newcomer to the service please let her know so that the driver knows you need collecting.
A disabled sticker enables the minibus to stop outside Maldon post office before going on to Tesco for about an hour.
Volunteer drivers and helpers are always needed, especially for emergency cover. Please let Gill know if you are available.
The rota comes round approximately every six weeks.
The All Saints Caring in Little Totham group is also able to help anyone retired needing to attend an appointment with a doctor, dentist or optician or to go to hospital for treatment. Contact Lorna on 891667.
MARIGOLD CLUB
Meeting up with people your own age for friendship and a laugh is what the Marigold Club for the retired is all about.
The fortnightly meetings are held on a Monday in Goldhanger village hall between 2pm and 4pm and next month the first session is on March 3.
For more details contact chairman Audrey Bridge on 892081.
