CELEBRATIONS are in order at a school after students received their A level results.
Students and staff are celebrating together at Ormiston Rivers Academy in Burnham.
Teenagers were relieved after many secured places at their chosen universities, apprenticeships and jobs.
Many received A* and A grades.
• Rebecca Williams achieved an A* in mathematics, A* in biology, A in chemistry and an A* in AS further mathematics.
She is going on to study biomedical sciences at University College London.
• Katie Mayes got As in mathematics, biology, chemistry and extended project qualification (EPQ).
Katie will study veterinary medicine at the Royal Veterinary College.
• Veerapat Martvichit gained an A* in BTEC Sport, A in LIBF, merit in engineering and a C in core mathematics and will be going on to study banking and finance at Manchester University.
• Maddison Tuckey achieved an A* in mathematics, A* in physics, distinction in performing arts and A in AS further mathematics.
She is continuing her studies in mathematics at Southampton University.
• Hannah Burke got an A* in LIBF, A in French, B in mathematics and an A* in EPQ and will be taking up an apprenticeship at British Airways.
• Matthew Busby achieved a distinction* in BTEC Sport, merit in child development and a merit in health and social care.
He is also an active member of the Cadets and is undertaking a cross-Atlantic row to raise funds for charity. He will be going on to study paramedic sciences at university.
Ormiston Rivers principal Jo Williams said: “I am so pleased to see our students celebrating their results today, which are very well deserved after working so hard over the last two years.

“The achievements of our students have come as a direct result and reward of their continuous efforts, dedication and grit, and will prepare them well for their exciting next steps.
“We are proud that students have secured places at prestigious universities such as University College London and the Royal Veterinary College, and on coveted apprenticeships including Deloitte and British Airways and in first jobs of their choice.
“We are immensely grateful to students, staff, families and the wider academy community for all of their support over the past two years.”
