STUDENTS have been recognised for some outstanding achievements on A level results day.

Sixth Form students at William de Ferrers School have made the school proud with their A level results.

Students have faced significant disruption through key stages four and five due to covid and despite having not sat external examinations during this time, students seem to have excelled in their exams at the school.

Some 93 per cent of students at the school achieved A* to C grades in three or more level three courses.

Out of all the students who took level three vocational courses, 97 per cent were awarded a distinction*, distinction or merit grade.

The school has congratulated Jack Harmond, Haydn Davies, Claudia Faiers, James Allan, Oliver Walsh, Harvey Davies and Sophie Bradfield for achieving outstanding results.

Headteacher Mike Applewhite said: “We are extremely proud of our students and delighted by the many fantastic individual successes which have opened doors to their next steps.

“The excitement among students opening their results was infectious and we are particularly pleased that so many William de Ferrers students achieved their first-choice university places.”
