A whist drive was held in the village hall on the third Wednesday of February, with exactly four tables in play.
Mr A C Clark was MC.
First, with a score of 170, was Mrs Margaret Arrell. Second, with one trick behind was Arthur Clark. Third, with 166 was Mrs Ann Matthams, and the consolation was won by Miss Rita Ellis.
The snowball was not won.
Winners of other prizes were Trevor Matthams, Mrs Joyce Parrott and Arthur Clark.
