RESIDENTS are being urged to check their electoral registration details ahead of elections next year.
An annual canvass is being carried out by Maldon District Council to remind people to register or confirm their details to be able to vote in future elections.
District and parish council elections will be taking place in the Maldon district in May 2023.
The annual canvass will be done by letter or email to check all addresses are up to date.
The council has warned that if you do not hear from them by the end of September then you might not be on the register.

Paul Dodson, returning officer at Maldon District Council said: “The annual canvass is our way of making sure that the information on the electoral register for every address is accurate.
“To make sure you don’t lose your say at the next election, look out for instructions from us. We will contact you by email or by post.
“If you don’t hear from us by the end of September, you might not be on the register. If you want to register, the easiest way is online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.”
