The electricity was out for most of Saturday afternoon and evening in the village. Apparently a horse rider saw a dying swan under an electricity line at around 2pm and presumed it must have crashed into it.
The stable owner reported this to the electricity board, but it took them until 6pm to attend, then several hours to repair. Power came back on after 10pm.
CHRISTINE MACDONALD AT CRUFTS
Christine's Hungarian "Vizsla Coast" won his class on Friday, then returned Sunday by invitation to be shown by Hungary's top junior handler, Lilla from Budapest, in a competition to find the top handler from 38 competing countries around the world.
The girl from Canada won, and a young lad from Brazil was second.
Lilla didn't come anywhere but Coast was very well behaved for her and enjoyed the extra attention!
ST MARY'S PARISH - ERROR - NOT ALL SAINTS!
I must abjectly apologise to all concerned for what must have been "a senior moment".
I reported in detail about the Parish Magazine which it is hoped will be revived. I managed to give entirely the wrong church parish.
I actually meant the St Mary's Parish magazine. Any material will be welcome short stories, articles, poems, letters etc.
