The next fortnightly visit of the library van is on Wednesday March 12 stopping at New Hall 10.55-11.20, Snow's corner 11.25-12pm, The Bell 12.05-12.15. Your support of this service is vital, it will help keep it running as it is constantly under review.
WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
The March meeting on Thursday 13 takes the form of a cheese lunch and will start at 12.45pm. The Spring Group Meeting tickets will be on sale and members are asked to bring a bottle for the tombola stall.
The competition is for a decorated egg. There is also an extra competition for a shopping bag made with recycled materials, the winners of which will go forward to the Spring Group meeting in Wickham Bishops on April 14. The speaker will be a Matron talking about St. Peter's Hospital, she will be presented with a cheque for the amount collected by members during the past year.
Visitors are welcome to the lunch but should notify the secretary on 828557 as food has to be prepared.
PARISH COUNCIL
The monthly meeting of Purleigh Parish Council takes place in the pavilion on Friday March 14 at 7.30pm, though councillors will be present from 7.15 in order to be able to discuss parish matters with parishioners.
PALM SUNDAY
There will be a joint Eucharist at 10am on Sunday March 16 with Canon Peter Mason as president and preacher. Those who wish to process up Church Hill should meet at the Rectory at 9.50am.
