A FREE event is being held at a restaurant to pay respects with a tribute to the Queen.
Live wartime songs will be performed as well as the national anthem at On The Latch in Althorne.
The restaurant are hosting the event to pay respects to Her Majesty and hope that residents will attend.
A spokesperson for the restaurant said: “We will have a designated area with a candle lit and photo of the lady who devoted her life to her country, please feel free to lay flowers.
“We will have a tribute to our Queen as a celebration of life in full wartime Uniform by female vocalist Courtney who will sing wartime songs and finish with The National Anthem.
“To further show our respect we will have a minute silence.
“We will then have a knees up with sing along traditional songs by DJ Dan.

“A spread of freshly made sandwiches will be made for all free of charge.
“If you are a soldier, ex-soldier, from the navy or nurse please feel free to attend in uniform.
“Bar will be open However this day is not about making money you are welcome to bring your own drink.”
The event is on Sunday, September 18 from 3.30pm until 5.30pm.
