With only three-and-a-quarter tables in play, a partner whist drive was held in the village hall on the penultimate Wednesday of April, instead of the expected military drive.
Mr A C Clark was MC and the first partnership, with a score of 172, was Ann and Trevor Matthams.
Second, with 167, were Mrs Sylvia Brown and Arthur Clark.
Winners of the other prizes were Mrs Joyce Parrott and Arthur Clark.
