BUSINESSES and historic buildings have been decorated in pink and blue this week to recognise baby loss awareness week.
Shop fronts and buildings across Maldon are sporting pink and blue lights and decorations.
This is the third year the town has taken part to support families who have been impacted by the loss of a baby in Maldon.
Businesses will be decorated until the end of the week.
Pictures show the many churches involved, which include All Saints Church and the Maeldune Centre.
More businesses have shown their support for the cause which includes QD, Coes, Mrs Salisbury’s and more.
Dave Ridgewell, 38, launched the Baby Loss Awareness Maldon Facebook group with his wife Abby Ridgewell, 34.
The lights and memorials began in 2020 following the loss of their baby Max at just one day old in November 2019.
Dave said: “This year the high street has certainly embraced Baby Loss Awareness Week.
“More businesses than ever before have taken part by putting up lights and the high street is awash with pink and blue, we’re so pleased and it’s a really beautiful memorial to all the babies who were taken too soon.”
Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place every year in the UK from October 9 until October 15.
