A SPOOKY Halloween event for children to get involved in is being held at a museum.
The half-term spooky science and activity day is on at the Museum of Power in Langford From Wednesday, October 26, to Sunday, October 30, when children can join in a huge range of activities.
There will be a bug hunt, arts and crafts and competitions to take part in.
Halloween fancy dress is welcome at the event.
A Museum of Power spokesman said: “There will be a bug hunt where children can join Essex Wildlife Trust to find the bugs and creepy-crawlies on our grounds.
“There are autumn arts and crafts for visitors to have fun painting, hiding and finding rocks around the museum grounds.
“There are exciting engineering competitions - can you build the strongest bridge or tallest newspaper tower?
“A prize will be given to the strongest bridge and the tower that reaches the highest heights.
“On Thursday, October 27, professor Dean the steampunk scientist and magician will be here as well as the Royal Society of Chemists and let's get crafty activities.
"The miniature railway will be running and the Astaria model village will be open.”
Normal museum entry prices apply with adults costing £7, concessions costing £6, children aged five to 15 costing £3.50 and children under five £1.
